Strengthening Public Health Education: Udayana MPH Joins Series III Curriculum Workshop
On August 22, 2025, the Master of Public Health (MPH) Program, Udayana University, participated in the Series III Curriculum Development Workshop in line with Permendikbudristek No. 53/2023. The workshop, held at the Faculty of Medicine, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar, was organized by the Learning Development and Quality Assurance Unit (UPPPM) and attended by the program coordinator and curriculum manager.
The event opened with remarks from Prof. dr. I Made Ady Wirawan, MPH, Ph.D., Vice Dean for Student Affairs, who emphasized the importance of keeping pace with evolving accreditation standards. Four expert speakers provided insights on assessment systems, formative and summative evaluations, and quality assurance policies, followed by lively discussions on applying these approaches in curriculum development.
This workshop highlights the MPH program’s commitment to continuous improvement of learning quality, ensuring graduates acquire the knowledge and skills needed to meet public health challenges. By integrating lessons from national experts and peers from other programs, the MPH team strengthens curriculum design, assessment methods, and teaching strategies.
Through such initiatives, the program not only aligns with accreditation criteria but also advances its vision and mission to produce competent, independent, and internationally competitive public health professionals. Importantly, it ensures the curriculum remains relevant to community needs, public health policy, and societal challenges, preparing graduates to make meaningful contributions in Indonesia and beyond.
