As part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening academic excellence and research capacity, the Master of Public Health (MPH) Program, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Udayana, invited Dr. Luh Putu Lila Wulandari, MPH, Ph.D., a researcher from the Surveillance, Evaluation, and Research Program at the Kirby Institute, Australia, to share her expertise with postgraduate students and faculty members.
During the lecture, Dr. Wulandari presented practical guidance on conducting systematic reviews, including formulating research questions, designing search strategies, screening literature, synthesizing evidence, and preparing manuscripts for publication in reputable scientific journals.
The Guest Lecture aimed to provide postgraduate students and researchers with practical knowledge and strategic approaches to producing high-quality systematic reviews. Since systematic reviews have become an integral component of coursework within the MPH curriculum, students are encouraged to develop their academic assignments into scientific publications that contribute to public health research.
The second session featured an inspiring presentation from an MPH student who successfully transformed a course assignment into an article published in an internationally reputable journal. The experience demonstrated that classroom assignments can evolve into valuable scientific publications through careful preparation and mentoring.
The event continued with small-group discussions facilitated by MPH faculty members. Participants discussed the publication potential of their research projects while receiving constructive feedback and recommendations for improving manuscript quality and identifying appropriate journals.
