Mental Health Screening Activity
The Master of Public Health Program, Faculty of Medicine Udayana University, in collaboration with the Suryani Institute, held a Youth Mental Health Screening Program at SMAN 1 Singaraja.

Suryani Institute for Mental Health (SIMH), in collaboration with the Psychiatry Specialist Program of the Faculty of Medicine and the Master of Public Health Program (MIKM) of Udayana University, conducted a mental health awareness and screening program for students at SMAN 1 Singaraja, Buleleng.

The activity aimed to increase adolescents’ awareness and understanding of the importance of maintaining mental well-being from an early age through promotive and preventive approaches within the school environment.

During the session, the speakers provided educational materials on adolescent mental health, risk factors for mental health disorders, and addiction-related issues such as vape and gadget use. The materials were delivered by dr. Dewa Ayu Bintang Kartika and Kadek Diah Tantri Suhendrawidi from Udayana University.

Students also participated in a self-administered mental health screening using a digital platform to help identify potential psychological issues at an early stage. The program also included reflection and a short meditation session led by Prof. Dr. dr. Cokorda Bagus Jaya Lesmana, SpKJ(K), MARS to introduce simple techniques for managing emotions and stress.

Through this activity, it is expected that students will gain better awareness of mental health and become more confident in seeking professional help when facing psychological challenges.
