Strategic Plan and Curriculum Workshop of the Master of Public Health Program at Udayana University Engages Stakeholders
Universitas Udayana, through its Master of Public Health Study Program (PS MIKM), organized a Strategic Plan (Renstra) and Curriculum Workshop on Friday, March 6, 2026. The event was held as an effort to strengthen the program’s development direction while aligning its curriculum with the latest developments in the field of public health.

The workshop was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs and Planning of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the importance of developing a strategic plan and curriculum that are adaptive to the evolving challenges in public health, as well as the need for collaboration with various stakeholders.
The workshop was attended by both internal and external stakeholders of the Master of Public Health Program, including representatives from Provincial Health Offices, District/City Health Offices, hospitals, and professional organizations working in the public health sector. The presence of these stakeholders was expected to provide constructive input for the development of the study program.
The event began with a presentation on the Strategic Plan and Curriculum of the Master of Public Health Program delivered by the program’s working team. This session outlined the program’s development direction, strategic priorities, and an overview of the curriculum structure designed to support the competencies of graduates in the field of public health.
The workshop continued with a presentation from a speaker representing the Asosiasi Institusi Pendidikan Tinggi Kesehatan Masyarakat Indonesia, Dr. Ir. Suyatno, M.Kes. In his presentation titled *“Recent Developments in the Field of Public Health and the Importance of Curriculum Adjustment for the Master of Public Health Program,”* he highlighted that the dynamics of global and national health issues require higher education institutions to continuously update their curricula to remain relevant to workforce needs and scientific advancements.
Through an active discussion session, participants provided various inputs related to the refinement of the vision, mission, development strategies, and curriculum of the Master of Public Health Program at Udayana University. These inputs are expected to serve as important considerations in the preparation of the strategic plan and the development of a curriculum that is more responsive to the needs of society and the health sector.
Through this workshop, the Master of Public Health Program at Udayana University hopes to produce a more comprehensive strategic plan and curriculum that align with developments in public health science and the needs of its stakeholders.
