MIKM Lecturer Contributes Nationally as GCP Trainer at FIRREC–Bali Neurology Update XI

A senior lecturer from the Master of Public Health (MIKM) Program, who also serves on the Research Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, was invited as a national speaker for the Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training held during the 11th Bali Neurology Update on 6–7 December 2025. The online training, attended by 38 participants from institutions across Indonesia, was organized by FIRREC, the national forum for research ethics committees in Indonesia.

FIRREC plays an essential role in strengthening ethical standards and harmonizing clinical research practices nationwide. UNUD’s Ethics Committee is an active member and continues to contribute to capacity-building efforts at the national level.
In this session, the MIKM lecturer presented material on the roles and responsibilities of investigators in clinical trials, a core component of GCP and a cornerstone of ethical, high-quality research.

This contribution highlights UNUD’s growing recognition in the national research ethics landscape and aligns closely with the MIKM Program’s vision to foster ethical, competent, and socially responsible public health professionals. Having lecturers actively engaged in national-level GCP training strengthens the program’s academic atmosphere, enhances the quality of research mentorship available to students, and reflects positively on institutional accreditation indicators related to expertise, community service, and professional leadership.

Through this involvement, the MIKM Program reinforces its commitment to ethical research practice and its role in supporting Indonesia’s efforts to advance safe, accountable, and trustworthy clinical research.
