Exploration of Collaboration between the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University and Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand
The Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, hosted a visit from Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand, for an audience and discussion of collaboration. The meeting took place in the Dean's Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Medicine Building, Udayana University, Denpasar. (March 27, 2026)
The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the Collaboration Agreement (PKS) and an audience with researchers from AUT's National Institute for Stroke and Applied Neurosciences and the CEO of PreventS-MD New Zealand.
The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Prof. Dr. dr. I Gede Eka Wiratnaya, Sp.OT., Subsp.Onk.Ort.R(K)., received the visit and expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Balakrishnan Sukumaran Nair (Dr. Bala Nair), Chief Executive Officer of PreventS-MD Limited from Auckland University of Technology (AUT), New Zealand. He expressed his hope that this collaboration would run smoothly and that it would positively impact both institutions, particularly in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This collaboration will not only focus on education but also include collaboration in international community service, education, research, and the hospital's digital ecosystem.
"We also see significant opportunities to collaborate with universities in New Zealand, such as AUT (Auckland University of Technology), which excels in medical technology, AI, robotics, and sports medicine," added Prof. Eka.
The event was also attended by the Vice Dean for Academic and Planning, Prof. dr. I Md. Ady Wirawan, S.Ked., M.P.H., Ph.D., Coordinator of the Information Management and Cooperation Unit (UPIKS); Dr. dr. Ida Ayu Ika Wahyuniari, S.Ked., M.Kes., Coordinator of the Master of Public Health Study Program; Dinar Saurmauli Lubis, S.KM., M.P.H., Ph.D., Coordinator of the Undergraduate Public Health Study Program; Dr. dr. I Ketut Suarjana, S.Ked., M.P.H., Neurology Specialist Study Program Coordinator, Dr. Dr. I Putu Eka Widyadharma, S.Ked., M.Sc., Sp.S(K), FMIN.
