Enhancing Field Epidemiology Education Quality: FETP Udayana's Commitment to Continuous Monitoring and Evaluation

In collaboration with seven esteemed universities, including Udayana University, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia has instituted the Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP), a comprehensive two-year master's program aimed at equipping graduates with advanced epidemiological skills.

To ensure the program's efficacy, the Ministry, through FETP Indonesia, diligently conducts ongoing evaluations across participating institutions. These assessments serve to identify both barriers and enablers within the educational process, thereby facilitating strategic interventions to enhance student learning experiences. Moreover, discussions extend to fostering alumni engagement and expanding opportunities for career integration, recognizing that the program's impact extends beyond academia to meet the evolving demands of the professional landscape, spanning both public and private sectors.

The recent visit to FETP Udayana on April 18, 2024, underscores the program's commitment to rigorous evaluation. Subsequent engagements with the Bali Province Health Office and Gianyar District Health Office on April 19, 2024, provide invaluable opportunities for field mentors and FETP students to actively contribute to this evaluative process. Such endeavors not only align with the overarching goals of the Master Program of Public Health but also underscore Udayana University's dedication to academic excellence within the Faculty of Medicine.

Moreover, this process also emphasizes the harmonization among users, producers, and relevant stakeholders in developing an education system that is integrative, collaborative, and comprehensive. This will uphold the quality of learning and enhance the potential for achieving better educational outcomes.
