Data analysis Workshop Exploring Climate Change's Impact on Health

Following serial focus groups, in-depth interviews and secondary data collection in three districts of Karangasem Bali, Lombok Timur Nusa Tenggara Barat, and Timur Tengah Selatan Nusa Tenggara Timur, a pre-liminary discussion for data management and data analysis was performed in Bali.

This workshop took place from March 19th to 21st, 2024. This is an internal workshop which has three main goals: 1) to develop the capacity of researchers in term of data management; 2) to share the progress of data collection and identify the gap in quantitative and secondary data collection to be completed; 3) to make the pre-liminary code of themes and sub-themes for qualitative data.

Referring to capacity building, the preliminary data quantitative condition was explored and explain by dr. Putu Cintya, MPH to other researchers. The presentation showed the incorrect and inconsistent data that need to be followed up by researchers. As well, she explained the expected analysis will be done by using the Bali Province data. This will increase the knowledge for other researchers in term of data cleaning, data management and preparation for analysis. In addition, we also looking at the preliminary result of qualitative data and identify the completeness of data. Therefore, this process also answered the second aim. Using the transcribes of FGD and in-depth interview result, the team try to identify the theme and sub-themes of data. Later, this temporary result will be used by the NTB and NTT research team to identify the themes and sub-themes for their own data.

The workshop run smoothly and effectively and were ended with quite many home-works to do. Therefore, team also discussed further timelines to be developed in order to manage the project timely.
