Collaborative Learning and Strengthening Research Networks through the Koneksi Project
A research team from Udayana University, funded by Koneksi, has completed the collection of both quantitative and qualitative data from various stakeholders and key individuals relevant to addressing climate change issues. Following this activity, the research team has conducted several internal workshops and inter-study site communications to discuss the accuracy of the data obtained and the forms of information dissemination needed to meet the study's objectives. Additionally, the internal workshops aimed to prepare concise information to be presented at the consultative meetings. The research team, divided into qualitative and quantitative researchers, learned from each other in conducting analyses and integrating study findings to obtain comprehensive data.
Another form of collaborative learning within the team was the preparation of measurement instruments for costing. In this regard, a health economics consultant, acting as an expert, provided guidance and discussions related to activities encountered during data collection. This allowed the Bali team to gain insights and experience in the stages of developing instruments to measure program costs.
Meanwhile, in an effort to prepare for consultative meetings in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), an online workshop was held between the Bali team and the NTB and NTT teams. This meeting, besides discussing the progress of incomplete qualitative data collection, also aimed to help the NTB and NTT teams conduct qualitative data analysis independently, sorting and identifying important information useful for their respective regions. Conversely, the Bali team benefited by understanding the diversity of climate change-related issues and strengthening their network, which has the potential to develop collaborations in other fields.
